The Esquire is the one-pickup Telecaster, and this 1956 version keeps it that simple: a 2-piece select ash body, a 1-piece quartersawn maple neck, and a single Custom Shop Hand-Wound '55-'56 Single-Coil Tele in the bridge. The body wears a Relic finish while the hardware gets the lighter Closet Classic treatment, so the metal parts look less worn than the body. The three-way switch is the Esquire's party trick.
