Built by the Gibson Custom Shop in Bozeman, Montana, the 2006 J-185 Koa features a solid Sitka spruce top paired with highly figured solid Hawaiian Koa back and sides in a natural gloss nitrocellulose finish. The set mahogany neck has a 24.75-inch scale length, a medium "C" profile, a bound rosewood fingerboard, 20 frets, and mother of pearl double parallelogram inlays.
