The ES-355 is the ES-335 dressed in multi-ply binding, an ebony board with mother-of-pearl blocks and gold hardware. Gibson's Murphy Lab, named for Tom Murphy, who pioneered guitar aging at Gibson, finishes this guitar in aged nitro lacquer and ages its hardware to match.
