Gibson says the double-cut Junior hit its stride in 1960, with a slimmer neck. One-piece solid mahogany, a 60s SlimTaper neck and one custom dogear P-90. Gibson's Murphy Lab, named for Tom Murphy, who pioneered guitar aging at Gibson, finishes this guitar in aged nitro lacquer and ages its hardware to match. Ultra Heavy Aged is the heaviest of the Murphy Lab's four aging levels. A volume and a tone on 500K CTS pots with paper-in-oil capacitors, a wraparound bridge and a tortoiseshell guard. Ebo
