The double-cut Les Paul Special came in 1958, but Gibson describes 1960 as the year it hit its stride, with the neck pickup moved lower and a slimmer neck. This reissue follows the 1960 guitar: solid mahogany, a 60s SlimTaper neck on a bound Indian rosewood board, and two custom soapbar P-90s. 500K CTS pots with paper-in-oil capacitors, a wraparound bridge and Kluson strip tuners.
