The 1954 Goldtop with the wraparound tailpiece, played by Freddie King and Jeff Beck. A plain maple top hide-glued to one-piece lightweight mahogany. Gibson's Murphy Lab, named for Tom Murphy, who pioneered guitar aging at Gibson, finishes this guitar in aged nitro lacquer and ages its hardware to match. Heavy Aged is the third of the Murphy Lab's four aging levels, with clearly played-in wear. Two custom soapbar P-90s, 500K CTS pots and paper-in-oil capacitors, and Kluson single-ring tuners. D
