Introduced in 1951, the Fender Precision Bass revolutionised the electric bass guitar and quickly became the benchmark by which all others would be judged. By 1957, the model had adopted the now iconic split coil pickup and gold anodised aluminium pickguard, creating the specification that would define the classic late 1950s Precision Bass and shape the sound of countless recordings for decades to come. This 1958 Fender Precision Bass is an excellent, all original example finished in its origin
