The Advanced Jumbo was built in small numbers from 1936 to 1939 and flew under the radar for years, though Gibson rates it among its best-sounding acoustics. Rosewood back and sides under a thermally aged Adirondack red spruce top, Advanced X-bracing in hide glue and a 25.5 inch scale. A historic AJ neck on a rosewood board with diamond and arrow inlays, an open-slot bridge and Waverly tuners. Vintage Sunburst in thin VOS nitro, in a period-correct case. No pickup.
