Good as gold! The magificent ES-295, originally available as a deluxe version of the well established ES-175 over a short run of 7 years from 1952-1959. Legend has it that it was Les Paul himself that planted the seed for the ES-295 when he requested a custom Gold finish of a ES-175 that he intended to gift to a sick child in hospital, but whilst there's little to corroborate that story, this guitar has no trouble making a statement all by itself!
