1955 was when Gibson lengthened the J-45's fingerboard and added a 20th fret. This reissue follows that guitar: a thermally aged Sitka spruce top over mahogany, a rounded neck on a rosewood board, a belly-up bridge and a 50s-style tortoise guard. The Murphy Lab ages the nitro finish and hardware to look like a guitar that has been played for decades. Grover strap tuners with cream buttons and a Lifton hardshell case.
