The 1957 Goldtop with a dark back. A plain maple top hide-glued to one-piece lightweight mahogany and a 1950s Chunky D neck. Gibson's Murphy Lab, named for Tom Murphy, who pioneered guitar aging at Gibson, finishes this guitar in aged nitro lacquer and ages its hardware to match. Light Aged is the second of the Murphy Lab's four aging levels, a step up in wear from Ultra Light.
