This is a very early Japan made Yamaha SG-2! This example came in with its pickups swapped for Fender Pure Vintage '65 Jaguar pickups, which sound really cool in this guitar. The neck profile is on the slimmer side, and extremely comfortable, the rosewood board is also nice and dark here. The 4-digit serial number on the last fret reads "0747" and between the serial and specs, we've narrowed manufacture between 1966 and 1967, making it extremely early in the world of Yamaha electric guitars.
