The Classic J is Suhr's version of the 1960s J bass: an asymmetrical alder body with a tortoise pickguard, a tinted maple neck in the slim Vintage J profile at .810" to .930" with a 1.5" nut, and an Indian rosewood board on a 7.25" radius. A pair of Suhr Classic J Vintage pickups with Alnico 5 magnets sit at the neck and bridge, with a Gotoh Vintage Jazz Bridge and Hipshot tuners. The frets are heavy stainless steel, which wear slowly. The Classic J Antique is the same bass in nitro-cellulose
