1960 was the last year of the original Les Paul Standard, with a slim neck, reflector knobs and double-ring tuners. A figured maple top hide-glued to one-piece lightweight mahogany. Gibson's Murphy Lab, named for Tom Murphy, who pioneered guitar aging at Gibson, finishes this guitar in aged nitro lacquer and ages its hardware to match.
