The 1960 Jazz Bass is the first year of the offset-body J, and this one keeps the stacked control knobs of the period: a volume and a tone for each pickup on concentric pots. Two Custom Shop Hand-Wound Single-Coil Jazz Bass pickups, with two pole pieces per string, sit in a 2-piece select alder body with a 4-ply tortoiseshell pickguard. The neck is quartersawn maple with a '60s "U" back, a slab rosewood board and a 9.5" radius. The 1.5" nut is the narrow J Bass nut, a good deal slimmer than a P
