While best known for his world-class mandolins, Steve Gilchrist has made many fine archtop guitars throughout his storied career. As anyone who has had the pleasure of hearing a Gilchrist archtop will attest, the guitars are surely the equal of his phenomenal mandolins in workmanship and sound. The first sixteen-inch model Gilchrist built to his understated, wood-forward "Junior" specifications, it features an impeccable European spruce top paired to a lovely Red maple back and sides set.
